Description: As a decoction, it is taken for laryngitis, bladder infections, and respiratory ailments. Externally is applied for boils, abscesses, and inflammation. The greens are excellent steamed or stir-fried (try them with sesame oil and garlic) as a green vegetable before they are in the fruiting stage.
Traditionally a poultice of the fresh leaves was applied to bites and stings.
